Moody is a teleprompter app for iOS that lets you record videos while reading scripts. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and what stays private.
Your recordings never leave your device — camera and microphone data is not uploaded, transmitted, or shared with anyone.
When you use the Whisper guide, the text of the current script step is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to ElevenLabs to generate the spoken audio. We do not store or log your text, and it is not linked to your identity. The generated audio is cached on your device. A random identifier (not tied to you or your device hardware) is used solely to enforce fair-use daily limits. If you never play the guide, no script text ever leaves your device.
Moody uses Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics — which features are used (for example, that a recording was completed or a purchase was made) and basic session information. This is tied to a random per-install identifier, not to your name, email, or any account. We never collect the content of your scripts or recordings. Analytics are not used for advertising and Moody does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Beyond the services described above (ElevenLabs for guide audio, Mixpanel for anonymous analytics) and App Store transactions handled by Apple, Moody does not include any advertising networks or tracking SDKs.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Moody does not collect, store, or transmit any payment information. Subscription management (cancellation, refund requests) is handled via your Apple ID settings.
Moody is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Your content stays on your device, and you control it entirely — to delete all Moody data, simply uninstall the app. Analytics data is anonymous and cannot be traced back to you. For any privacy question or request, email us at the address below.
If we update this Privacy Policy, the effective date above will change. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
